Now that the 2024 Edo Gubernatorial election is over, the most critical stage has been completed. 

Every election cycle comprises three stages: primary elections, general elections, and post-election litigations.

The Gubernatorial election, which was the most critical, was filled with suspense, expectations, intrigues, and mixed feelings in Edo Gubernatorial 2024.

Winners have been declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the body responsible for conducting the election.

 Despite the shortcomings and complaints from PDP members, the 2024 Gubernatorial election can be considered one of the best in Edo state's democratic history, surpassing the 1993 elections allegedly won by Late M.K.O Abiola.

The BVAS machine, a game-changer, presented challenges for politicians, reducing thugs' influence. 

Votes counted, and the genuine winner emerged, reflecting Edolites' democratic choice in INEC's announced results . 

Senator Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress won the election with 291,667 votes, defeating 17 other candidates, including PDP's Asue Ighodalo, who garnered 247,274 votes.

Thanks to the BVAS machine, Senator Monday Okpebholo emerged as governor-elect despite controversies stories from distractors. Unless the court alters the outcome, he remains the Governor.

The PDP Gubernatorial Candidate Asue Ighodalo Should congratulate governor-elect Senator Monday Okpebholo on his victory, just as Speaker Blessing Agbebaku did during the Edo State House of Assembly plenary.

Congratulations to Senator Monday Okpebholo, the Akpakomiza of the Universe.

As Governor, he will serve all Edolites, not just APC or PDP members but the general Edo State people.

Now that we have a Governor, we must rally behind him for Edo state's progress.

Unwarranted criticism of Senator Okpebholo should be avoided totally. 

All Edolites should support him to move the state forward.

God's will prevails, and the election outcome reflects His will. Edo state now belongs to Governor-elect Okpebholo, and he belongs to all Edolites.

With BVAS, office holders can be voted out easily. 

The Edo 2024 Gubernatorial election marks significant democratic progress. Performance now defines public attitude toward leaders. 

Power has returned to the people, and further improvements will eliminate thuggery, ushering in genuine democrats.
