ONE thing I learnt in Tinubu’s political life is his inability to succumb to enemies mockery. Between 2015 and 2024, he had proved that. In 2015, he wanted Lawan and Gbajabiamila to lead the 8th NASS but he was double crossed. His enemies mocked him like there's no tomorrow. In fact, Ayo Adebanjo's Afenifere described him as a ludo player who wanted to play chess in Abuja. It was a celebration for all Tinubu’s diehard h8ters. Unmoved, Tinubu continued his common sense revolution. He already saw the promised land, so the red sea was never a distraction to him! By 2019, Tinubu, without any political office whatsoever, had displaced the coupists of 2015 and supported Lawan and Gbajabiamila to 9th NASS victory!
Just like Pharaoh, Tinubu’s enemies refused to back down despite the plague that eroded them away from the NASS leadership. Instead, they regrouped! This time around, they met him in Edo State and through the help of some villa cabal, they defeated his party. That brought another round of mockery. Unfortunately for the mockers, Tinubu remained adamant just like Moses, he was sure of his calling. Four years after, Tinubu defeated them in Edo, a proof that the JAGABAN is never a coward!
But of all, what amazes me the most is his ascendancy to power
. All powers that be was against him. Since 2003, OBJ had targeted to eliminate him politically to no avail. GEJ took him to Code of Conduct, he was set freed! Villa Cabal between 2015 and 2023 showed him, in practical terms, the actual definition of pepper, yet he was unperturbed. Having seen the promised land, wall of jericho makes no sense to him! By 2020, a deliberate orchestrated attack on his person labelled endsars was physically launched against him when a group of bandits occupied Lekki Tollgate claiming that it belongs to Tinubu. The saga ended by declaring Tinubu wanted...."he is in Paris, get him", " no he's in the UK, get him". His properties became victims too. A life radio programme by a notorious but now captured terrorist urging his boys to get Tinubu awashed the Internet! All of a sudden, Tinubu appeared from nowhere, we saw him on the TV when he was saying "I am in Lagos, I am still the Asiwaju of Lagos"!!!! Whaaaat???? Unprecedented!!!! In 1976, OBJ never did that, he hid himself inside a bunker!
And when Endsars failed. Power politics began! Opposition was against him, his own party was against him. Unbelievable betraying moves that have never been seen or heard of were happening in multiples. Some of them said the end of our JAGABAN has come! But JAGABAN, having seen the Promised Land, was not moved by the aggression of Korah and his men. Tinubu was not scared of the ranting of Amalakites, he kept on moving like a thunderbolt!
All of a sudden, CBN took away naira notes. Fuel queues everywhere but Kyari ensures availability in all NNPC stations!!!! Opposition candidates were hailing government policies, only ruling party candidate was complaining. First time in the global history of politics! In the end, but unlike Moses, Tinubu entered the promised land in the presence of all his h8ters. That is why David said "You set a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anointed my head with oil and my cup runs over". To God be the glory.
Tinubu is now in power as ordained by God Almighty. His enemies are still hungry for the red sea, may be they will get it by 2027.
