Edo Inauguration: conquering the lies, claims, counter claims and gossip

Recently, lies and gossips have taken over Edo government preparation as Obaseki claimed not to be invited whereas he was the one who called on Okpebholo, APC to inaugurate transition committee accusing them of not prepared for the process.

However he is the one not prepared as a result of failure by his party, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to win the September 21, governorship election in Edo. I Ilearnt that he is ashamed due to the fact that the reinstated deputy governor, Rt. Hon. Philip Shaibu, who he rejected despite court judgment, to reinstate him will be there and recognized as the bonafide deputy governor. In addition, I also learnt some stratas of the state will be there on Tuesday to sweep his alleged corruption and deceit out of the state as he hands over power that day. So his body language and alleged disappearance from government house, Benin City, is a clear indication that Obaseki is afraid, shy and afraid of unforseen humiliation even as he earlier claim that the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC has concluded plans to arrest him after handover. 

Our people say clear conscience fears no accusation. I call upon the outgoing governor of Edo state, to come out of his hiding and perform his constitutional right and duties on the 12 November, 2024, he should put the past behind and work with the incoming government of Senator Monday Okpebholo aka Akpakomiza, he should stop playing hide and seek game and be real.

Finally, I wish the duo of Senator Monday Okpebholo, governor-elect and his deputy, Hon. Denise Idahosa aka Denco, a peaceful and prosperous administration ahead of the Tuesday historic swearing in of their government which promises to bring about a new Edo.
