Felix Osemwengie Isere, Esq Appointment Special Adviser to the Edo State Governor on Oil and Gas





The Executive Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has appointed a UK-trained International lawyer Felix Osemwengie Isere, Esq., as the Special Adviser on Oil and Gas. This appointment underscores the administration’s commitment to leveraging Edo State’s rich oil and gas resources to drive economic growth, attract investment, and ensure sustainable development.


The appointment was announced through a letter dated 5th December 2024 and signed by Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq, the Secretary to Edo State. 


Felix Osemwengie Isere, Esq., is a distinguished legal practitioner and the Managing Partner of GreenHouse Legal Consult. He is also the Managing Director and CEO of Felosa Property and Building Solutions Limited. Hailing from Ologbo Village in the oil-rich Ugu Ward of Orhionmwon Local Government Area, Felix is deeply connected to one of Edo State’s key oil-producing regions.


An accomplished lawyer, Felix earned his Master’s degree in International Law (Security, Human Rights, and Conflict) from the University of Hull, UK. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, and completed his professional training at the Nigerian Law School. 


Over the years, he has garnered extensive expertise in Oil and Gas Law, Immigration Law, Human Rights Law, Property Law, International Law and Project Management, among other fields. He is a certified Project Management Professional, Human Resource Management Professional, arbitrator, business analyst, and Scrum master and is currently a student of Leadership and Management at the London College of Professional Studies. United Kingdom. 


Felix is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Nigerian Bar Association, the Commonwealth Lawyers Association, the African Bar Association, and the International Lawyers Association, reflecting his commitment to excellence and global best practices.


As Special Adviser on Oil and Gas, Felix Osemwengie Isere, Esq, will play a pivotal role in realizing Edo State’s strategic vision for the oil and gas sector. His responsibilities include:

Building and strengthening partnerships between the Edo State Government and major industry players, including multinational oil corporations.

Advising on sustainable policies for managing the state’s oil and gas resources.

Develop strategies to attract investments, boost revenue generation, and create employment opportunities in the sector.

Championing initiatives to ensure that the welfare of oil-producing communities, remains a top priority for the government.
