The Mission of Creation, Redemption, and Final Judgement.

Introduction
God's creation of the earth was intentional and purposeful. Humanity was placed on earth with a divine mission—to serve, have dominion, and align with God’s will (Genesis 1:26-28). However, Satan’s rebellion against God brought deception, disobedience, and the fall of man. Jesus Christ, the second Adam, came to restore mankind to their original mission, reconciling them to God and giving them authority over the works of darkness.
This message unpacks the missions of God, Satan, Jesus Christ, and humanity, highlighting the importance of vigilance as we await Christ’s second coming.
1. God's Mission in Creation:
God’s original intention for mankind was threefold:
To Dress and Keep the Earth: Genesis 2:15 says, “The LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to dress it and keep it.” Humanity was made stewards of creation.
To Have Dominion: Humanity was granted dominion over every living creature (Genesis 1:26).
To Live in Fellowship with God: Man was created in God's image to enjoy a direct relationship with Him (Genesis 1:27).
However, sin disrupted this harmony.
2. Satan's Mission: Deception and Destruction
Satan's primary goal is to oppose God’s plan by leading humanity into rebellion through deception. His mission includes:
Turning Man Against God: Satan deceived Eve in the garden (Genesis 3:1-6), leading to disobedience.
Waging War Against Believers: Revelation 12:17 declares, “The dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring—those who keep God's commands and hold fast their testimony about Jesus.”
Enslaving Humanity Through Lies: John 8:44 identifies Satan as the father of lies, keeping people in bondage through deception and manipulation.
3. Jesus’ Mission: Reconciliation and Restoration
Jesus came to restore humanity to God’s original plan through the ministry of reconciliation:
To Preach Good News: Luke 4:18 states, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.”
To Defeat Satan: Jesus overcame Satan's power through His death and resurrection (Colossians 2:15).
To Empower Humanity: Jesus reestablished mankind’s authority, saying, “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy” (Luke 10:19).
4. Humanity’s Mission: Proclaim and Prepare
Man’s mission, empowered by the Holy Spirit, is clear:
Preach the Gospel: Mark 16:15 commands, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”
Call for Repentance: Acts 17:30 reminds us, “In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.”
Prepare the World for Christ’s Return: Humanity is called to live holy lives and share the hope of Christ’s second coming (2 Peter 3:11-12).
5. Christ’s Second Coming: Judgement and New Creation
Jesus will return to bring judgement, rapture the saints, and establish a new heaven and earth.
Judgement: Revelation 20:12 declares, “And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened.” Christ will judge all.
Rapture: 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 states, “The Lord himself will descend from heaven… and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive will be caught up together with them.”
New Creation: Revelation 21:1 promises, “Then I saw ‘a new heaven and a new earth,’ for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away.”
False religions claiming Christ is already on earth contradict the Bible, which assures us His second coming will be visible to all (Matthew 24:27).
6. Exhortation: Be Watchful and Vigilant
Believers must remain vigilant and steadfast in their faith:
Be Sober and Prayerful: 1 Peter 5:8 warns, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.”
Fast and Pray: Mark 9:29 emphasizes that some breakthroughs only come through fasting and prayer.
Live in Obedience: 1 John 2:3 says, “We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands.”
Conclusion
God’s mission for humanity is clear: to have dominion, walk in fellowship with Him, and fulfill His purpose on earth. Through Christ, the broken relationship caused by sin is restored, and believers are empowered to carry out the mission of preaching the gospel and preparing for Christ’s return.
Let us remain focused, steadfast, and prayerful as we await the glorious return of Jesus, which will bring peace and end all deception. As Hebrews 10:7 declares, “I have come to do your will, O God.” May we all live to fulfill His will in our lives.
Be watchful. Be ready. The King is coming.
