Against the odds, he has kept the focus. Undeterred,
with eyes locked on the bigger picture - A goal, a vision, and a dream. He envisioned a federal constituency that is placed in National prominence, relevance, and in the limelight. He is living the dream, steadily painting the glorious picture like an artist on canvas. Orbionnmwon/Uhunmwode federal constituency is practically on the lips of Nigerians, courtesy of the effective representation by the proud Benin Chief, Hon. Dr. Billy Adesuwa Osawaru.
Blessed with confidence and belief in self which his detractors erroneously describe as arrogance, he stands tall, old head firmly rooted on young, healthy shoulders; he emblematizes wisdom, intellect, carriage, composure, and, in the street parlance, "steeze."
His passionate voice is heard loud and clear within the four walls of the National Assembly as he constantly interrogates issues, confronts systemic ills, contributes intellectually to topical issues, brings informed perspectives to burning matters, and relentlessly advocates for the people through the moving of motions, tendering of petitions on behalf of his constituents and sponsoring of Bills. His vibrancy has garnered him enormous respect, influence, and regal reverence in the National Assembly. This has made the Chairmen of numerous House Committees to scramble to bring him on board their team.
As a human, he is far from perfect. We are all flawed in different aspects of our lives. He is not an exception. Politically, he has admitted to having made some mistakes which he is on the course to correct but what we all cannot deny as sincere political actors and watchers, haters or lovers, is that this man; Hon. Chief Billy Adesuwa Osawaru (PhD), is doing well in the core areas of his primary duties as a federal lawmaker, i.e, Lawmaking, Representation, Oversight functions, and by extension, zonal intervention programs/projects.
This is a man with a touch of excellence, the Midas of the House of Representatives, the advocate of the people and the voice of those at the grassroots. He is blazing the trail and setting new records. All he needs is our support, constructive criticism, and positive engagement rather than this continuous denigration of his name that has become the daily order, intrapartily.
Finally, As party members, we shouldn't be seen mudslinging our very own. It is a disservice to our party and our shared interests. It has the potential to boomerang and adversely affect us all. Let's be mindful of not inadvertently shooting ourselves on the feet with our actions and inactions.
Let's support this incumbent touch of excellence.
