I am deeply humbled by the confidence you have placed in me, and I do not take lightly the responsibility of leading this important committee, which serves as a critical conduit for fostering bilateral and multilateral relations between Nigeria, our sister African nations, and relevant continental and regional intergovernmental organizations and agencies.

With unwavering commitment, I pledge to deploy my experience, dedication, and legislative capacity in advancing the committee’s mandate. It is my firm resolve to provide visionary leadership within the limits of my constitutional and legislative powers, that will promote deeper cooperation, meaningful integration, and sustained political and economic stability across the African continent, to the ultimate benefit of our great nation and its citizens.
