Guarding Against Fear, Unbelief, and Doubt in Times of Crisis

 Every season of famine, trial, or crisis comes with two voices: the voice of God declaring His promises, and the voice of the enemy sowing fear, unbelief, and doubt. The difference between those who partake of the miracle and those who miss out is determined by which voice they believe.

In 2 Kings 7, Israel was in severe famine. Yet, by the Word of the Lord through Elisha, God declared abundance. Sadly, one man missed out because he allowed fear, unbelief, and doubt to rule his heart.

FIVE MAJOR THINGS YOU MUST AVOID AS YOU JOURNEY:

1. Fear – The Enemy’s First Weapon

 “God has not given us the spirit of fear…” (2 Timothy 1:7)

The officer at the king’s side tried to spread fear by mocking God’s promise (2 Kings 7:2).

Fear is contagious. When accepted, it paralyzes faith and hinders obedience.

Fear makes men forget that God is the Creator of heaven and earth.

     In your famine and crisis, silence the voice of fear with the Word of God.

2. Unbelief – The Barrier to Entering God’s Promise

 “So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.” (Hebrews 3:19).

The king’s officer saw the miracle but did not partake (2 Kings 7:17).

Unbelief is more than doubt—it is rebellion against the integrity of God’s Word.

God’s promises are infallible: “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.” (Matthew 24:35)

       Believe the Word and the prophet sent to you, for “Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.” (2 Chronicles 20:20).

3. Doubt – The Silent Killer of Faith

 “Let him ask in faith, nothing wavering…” (James 1:6-7).

Doubt is the enemy’s subtle weapon. It whispers, “What if God doesn’t do it?”

Doubt makes a man unstable and unfit to receive from God.

Peter walked on water until he doubted (Matthew 14:30-31).

       Guard your heart. Feed your faith with God’s Word daily to silence doubt.

4. The Assurance of Victory – If They Try, They Will Dry

    “For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.” (1 Corinthians 16:9).

Yes, adversaries will rise, but God’s purpose stands (Psalm 33:11).

When God opens a door, no man can shut it (Revelation 3:8).

The enemies of your destiny cannot stop God’s plan—they will only dry up trying.

      Rejoice in God’s Word. Opposition is proof that you are on the path of destiny.

5. The Warning – Do Not Sow Seeds of Doubt in Others, 

The king’s officer was judged not only for his unbelief but for attempting to weaken the faith of others.

Jesus warns: “But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me…” (Matthew 18:6).

God takes it seriously when people discourage faith in His Word.

      Be a carrier of faith, not fear. Speak words that build confidence in God.

Conclusion :

Fear, unbelief, and doubt are enemies of destiny.

Hold fast to God’s Word in crisis. His promises never fail.

Believe, speak, and act in faith—and you will partake in the miracle.

> “Blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.” (Luke 1:45)

“O Lord, every great and effectual door You have opened for me, let no adversary shut it. Frustrate the tokens of liars and bring their counsel to nothing (1 Corinthians 16:9, Isaiah 44:25).”

5. Prayer for Strong Faith

“Father, like Abraham, let my faith not stagger at Your promises. Make me strong in faith, giving glory to You until I see the performance (Romans 4:20-21).

6. Prayer for Prophetic Release

“Lord, let every word spoken by Your servant over my life find speedy fulfillment. I will not only hear of it, I will partake of it (2 Chronicles 20:20).”

   My Prayers For You - 

1. I declare that in the midst of famine, your heavens will open, and abundance will answer for you (2 Kings 7:1).

2. Every voice of fear, unbelief, and doubt raised against your miracle is silenced forever in Jesus’ name.

3. The adversaries at the gate of your destiny shall dry up trying—they will not prevail against you (1 Corinthians 16:9).

4. You will not just see miracles—you will partake in them (Psalm 34:8).

5. From today, your faith will not fail. Your eyes will see the performance of God’s Word (Luke 1:45).

6. The same God that multiplied bread in famine will multiply your resources and sustain you.

7. No power will stop God’s plan, purpose, and will for your life. You are unstoppable in destiny.
