UBTH HAILS GOVERNOR OKPEBHOLO ON BIRTHDAY, COMMENDS TRANSFORMATIVE LEADERSHIP IN HEALTH SECTOR

 

The Management and Staff of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) have joined millions of Edo people in celebrating the Executive Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, on the joyous occasion of his birthday, describing him as a visionary leader and architect of a new Edo State.

In a congratulatory message signed by the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Mrs. Idia Nibokun Ize-Iyamu, UBTH commended Governor Okpebholo for his people-oriented policies and bold leadership that are repositioning Edo State for sustainable progress.

Highlighting the Governor’s intervention in the health sector, the CMD noted in particular his gracious approval of a purpose-built Paediatric Complex for UBTH, describing it as “a landmark decision that will transform child healthcare and stand as a legacy of compassion for generations to come.”

> “This singular intervention by His Excellency will not only improve child healthcare delivery in Edo State, but also write his name in gold as the people’s governor who placed the health of the vulnerable above all else,” the statement read.

Prof. Ize-Iyamu stressed that UBTH recognizes in the Governor a leader whose passion for the welfare of Edo people is genuine and far-reaching. She affirmed that the hospital remains committed to partnering with his administration to deliver world-class healthcare and training for future health leaders.

The statement further called on Edo people to rally behind Governor Okpebholo’s administration, noting that the health sector, like other areas of development, will benefit immensely from his visionary policies and hands-on leadership style.

As the Governor marks another year in good health and divine grace, UBTH prayed that his tenure will bring greater victories for Edo people, groundbreaking projects for the State, and stronger partnerships for a healthier, safer, and more prosperous future.
