Abuja, Nigeria — When President Bola Ahmed Tinubu took office, he pledged to lead with fairness, justice, and equity. Today, that promise is visible across the nation through the equitable distribution 


of infrastructure projects, appointments, and opportunities under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

From the North to the South, East to West, no region is left behind. The Tinubu administration has ensured balanced investments in infrastructure to stimulate economic growth and foster unity:

  • Northwest: ₦5.97 trillion
  • South South: ₦2.41 trillion
  • North Central: ₦1.13 trillion
  • Northeast: ₦400 billion
  • Southeast: ₦407 billion
  • Southwest (excluding Lagos): ₦604 billion

National Projects That Bridge Regions

Legacy road projects cutting across the country are reshaping Nigeria’s transport network:

  • Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway (750km, 175km ongoing)
  • Sokoto–Badagry Superhighway (1,068km, 378km ongoing)
  • Trans-Sahara Highway (465km, 118km ongoing)
  • Akwanga–Jos–Bauchi–Gombe Road (439km, rigid pavement redesign)

These projects reflect a near-equal spread: 52% in the North and 48% in the South, showing fairness in execution.

In every region, landmark projects are ongoing:

  • Northwest: Abuja–Kaduna–Kano Road, Kano–Maiduguri Road, Kaduna–Katsina Roads, and more.
  • North Central: Benue–9th Mile Road, Lokoja–Okene Dualisation, Lokoja–Benin Dualisation.
  • Northeast: Damaturu–Maiduguri Road, Bama & Dikwa Roads, Kolmani Oil Wells infrastructure.
  • Southwest: Lagos–Ibadan Expressway, Oyo–Ogbomoso–Ilorin Road, Third Mainland & Eko Bridges.
  • Southeast: Enugu–Onitsha Road, Enugu–Abakaliki Road, 2nd Niger Bridge Access, Lokpanta–Enugu Road.
  • South South: East–West Road, Eleme–Onne Road, Nembe–Brass Road, Bodo–Bonny Road & Bridges, Delta–Asaba 2nd Niger Bridge Access.

Beyond Roads and Rail

The Renewed Hope Agenda extends to vital sectors that touch everyday lives:

  • Health: Over 1,000 Primary Health Centres rehabilitated.
  • Transport: Light rail projects in Kano, Kaduna, Lagos, and Ogun.
  • Energy: 255MW Kaduna Power Plant, advancement of AKK Gas Pipeline.
  • Rail: Kano–Maradi Rail accelerated from 5% to 67%.
