SCHOOL RENOVATION/ ESTABLISHMENT OF SECONDARY SCHOOL SECTION

I carried out an inspection visit to ODIA PRIMARY SCHOOL (EVBODIA) in Iyekogba, Edo State to assess the ongoing renovation and construction works. This project covers the renovation of two blocks of 12 classrooms, the construction of an additional block of 6 classrooms, the building of a perimeter fence, as well as the installation of a borehole and toilet facilities. I am impressed with the work done so far, and it is evident that the project is near completion.

Also with the help of the Edo State Ministry of Education, my formal request for the inclusion of a secondary school section in the school was approved. 

With this development, the school has now been upgraded to host a Junior Secondary section, making it the FIRST SECONDARY SCHOOL within the entire district of over 40 communities. Hence the school will now be known as ODIA PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOL.

I sincerely appreciate the State Ministry of Education and the Commissioner of Education for the timely approval. 

This is a great step forward for Iyekogba and the surrounding communities, and this further strengthens our commitment to improving access to quality education and modern infrastructure for all our children in Oredo.
