SHADRACH UDUGBAI’S PHANTOM PROPAGANDA: A CHILDISH ATTEMPT TO DIVIDE IZE-IYAMU AND OKPEBHOLO

RE: FAILED AND RECYCLED PROPAGANDA AGAINST IZE-IYAMU AND OKPEBOLO

The attention of the friends of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu have been drawn to a mischievous write-up circulating under the name Hon. Shedrach Udugbai.

We wish to state clearly that this faceless publication is nothing but the work of a fifth columnist. It is not the first time that mischief-makers have tried to smear Pastor Ize-Iyamu and His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebolo, or to create discord between them. At every attempt, both men have simply whispered to each other and laughed over the desperation of such antics. This latest script is no different- hollow, laughable, and dead on arrival.

For the avoidance of doubt:

1. Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu and His Excellency, Sen. Monday Okpebholo, the Governor of Edo State have a very healthy relationship. Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu stands firmly in support of Senator Okpebolo’s administration and remains committed to its success.

2. The so-called author is merely pretending to be a supporter of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu. Friends and loyalists of Pastor Ize-Iyamu would never handle matters in such a manner or through such dubious channels. They know their leader, they know themselves, and if ever genuine issues arise, they know the right and direct way to engage him- not by hiding under fake names to sow disaffection.

3. This propaganda is ironic. Those dissatisfied with government are free to express their grievances directly; they do not need to hide behind the name of Pastor Ize-Iyamu or his supporters. Doing so only confirms fear of the strong bond between both leaders.

We therefore urge the public, party faithful, and well-meaning Edo people to disregard this faceless attempt at blackmail. Pastor Ize-Iyamu remains focused and united with the Governor in pursuit of peace, progress, and development for Edo State.
