GOVERNMENT SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

The Edo State Government wishes to inform the general public that His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, Governor of Edo State, has approved the appointment of Dr. (Mrs.) Rita Otibho Erewele as Chairman, Edo State Senior Secondary Education Board.

Dr. Erewele takes over from the immediate past Chairman, Dr. Maureen O. Ekhoragbon, who has been relieved of her duties with immediate effect.

Dr. (Mrs.) Rita Otibho Erewele is an accomplished educationist and administrator with over two decades of progressive experience in Nigeria’s education sector. She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Administration and Planning, along with a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Benin. Dr. Erewele has served in various leadership capacities, including as a lecturer, education consultant, and senior education officer. Her contributions to policy development, teacher training, and curriculum enhancement have earned her recognition for excellence in academic leadership and educational reform. She is a member of several professional bodies, including the Nigerian Association for Educational Administration and Planning (NAEAP) and the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).

Her appointment takes immediate effect.
