ward a brighter future in 2026, a dynamic and visionary leader has stepped forward to serve the people. Comr. Orobosa Christopher Eriamiantoe represents a rising generation of leaders who combine education, community values, and practical experience to move our local government forward.
Born on September 15, 1990, Comr. Orobosa hails from the respected Uhen Community in Ward 3 of Ovia North-East Local Government Area, Edo State. His journey reflects the aspirations of many young people who believe in service, development, and responsible leadership.
His academic path began at the University of Benin, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Biochemistry in 2014. His outstanding academic performance later earned him the highly competitive Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Foreign Postgraduate Scholarship in 2024, a recognition reserved for individuals with exceptional promise.
With this opportunity, he furthered his education at Coventry University in the United Kingdom, completing a Master’s Degree in Clinical Biochemistry and Immunology in 2025. His remarkable dedication to learning distinguished him as the top graduating student in his department.
Comr. Orobosa’s commitment to society extends far beyond the classroom. He has actively participated in grassroots political engagement and community development efforts aimed at improving the welfare of citizens.
Within the All Progressives Congress (APC), he contributed his expertise as an ICT Officer at the Edo State Secretariat, helping strengthen digital communication systems and supporting the party’s organizational operations across the state.
He has also played roles in initiatives designed to uplift small businesses and empower local entrepreneurs. Through programmes such as the Federal Government Survival Fund and the Edo State/World Bank PROPOOR Programme, he has been involved in efforts that support economic growth at the grassroots level.
Today, Comr. Orobosa Christopher Eriamiantoe offers himself for service as Chairman of Ovia North-East Local Government Area. His vision is centered on improving community safety, creating opportunities for young people, encouraging business growth, and ensuring accountable leadership that benefits every ward and settlement.
