PRESIDENT TINUBU THE POLITICAL TACTICIAN AND AUTOMATIC TICKETS FOR APC NATIONAL ASSEMBLY MEMBERS
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR , the president of the federal republic of Nigeria is a political colossus and a Master of the game of politics.
Party primaries are around the corner again , and people are already jostling for different positions to contest for. The president knowing the implication of an open contest , is rooting for a Consensus arrangement for all the present 10th national assembly members to return.
This arrangement was sealed recently in a Dinner meeting with Mr President and the Senators led by their president, H E God'swill Akpabio.
In a separate Dinner meeting with Mr President , the house of Representatives members led by their Speaker , Hon Tajudeen Abbas, equally sealed the faith of returning all the members with Mr President.
BAT is a very wise politician, he knows opening the primaries for all comers will cause a lot of disaffections and the party may implode. Knowing full well that election is around the corner , Mr President dare not take such a risky venture that may lead to endless litigations, which may eventually affects the party at the election proper.
Secondly , Mr President being a former member of the national assembly, he knows the rudiments of national assembly. He knows as a first time member , you will need at least two years to understand the workings of the Hallowed Chambers . According to Mr President , during the Dinner meeting with House of Representatives, he said a lot of constituencies are always changing their Representatives every election circle. He said , such, is not healthy for the development and progress of Legislative Business.
Finally, Mr President reiterated severally that he has been enjoying a very cordial working relationship with this present 10th assembly members and that, he wish to continue on the same trajectory in the 11th Assembly.
My advice to would-be contestants against any member of the present national assembly members in APC, is that , they should not even bother or think of it. Mr President will take full charge of the party and deliver as he has promised them.
Mr President is a promise keeper.
