Ize-Iyamu Applauds Okpebholo’s Massive Road Projects as Orhionmwon Backs His Senate Bid

 

A major political consultation in Orhionmwon Local Government Area brought together elders, party leaders, stakeholders, and grassroots mobilizers in a show of solidarity ahead of the 2027 Edo South senatorial race under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The meeting formed part of ongoing statewide engagements and was marked by strong expressions of support and commitment to party unity and electoral success.

In his opening remarks, Pastor Ize-Iyamu commended His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, for the ongoing infrastructural interventions within the state, particularly the construction of roads along the Ute and Tenboga axis leading to UNIBEN in Ugbowo, including the road linking to the residence of Hon. Julius Agbonze, Chairman of APC Orhionmwon LGA, which served as the venue of the meeting. He recalled the significant challenges previously encountered in accessing the area and described the new road infrastructure as clear evidence of purposeful governance.

He noted that such developmental strides further underscore the need for strong federal collaboration. According to him, his decision to seek the Edo South Senate seat is driven by the desire to complement the Governor’s developmental efforts by attracting increased federal presence to the district. He emphasized that effective synergy between the National Assembly, the Edo State Government, and the Federal Government would ensure that critical roads such as Abudu, Abraka, and several other strategic corridors in the district receive urgent national attention.

Various leaders at the meeting expressed confidence in the competence, experience, and political capacity of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu to represent Edo South effectively. They emphasized the importance of presenting capable candidates, promoting party unity, and sustaining grassroots mobilization ahead of the primaries.

The consultation ended with renewed assurances of unity, strengthened mobilization, and coordinated political alignment as preparations continue toward the 2027 APC senatorial primaries.
