A United Kingdom based Project Management Consultant and Community Leader in Uhunmwode Local Government Area of Edo State, Comrade Desmond Imafidon Oni Applauds Constituents’ Loyalty and Calls for Total Mobilization to Return Hon. Billy Osawaru to National Assembly

 

The political activist and grassroots development Advocate has issued a heartfelt message of appreciation to the people of the Orhionmwon/Uhunmwode Federal Constituency for their steadfast support of Hon. Chief (Dr.) Billy Osawaru.

In a press statement, Oni highlighted that the synergy between the representative and the constituents has set a new benchmark for legislative accountability in Edo State saying "the progress we see today is a result of your patience and your belief in quality leadership. Hon. Billy Osawaru has not only heard your cries but has translated them into tangible federal projects. We thank you for standing by him thus far."

While celebrating current achievements, Oni emphasized that the job is not yet finished. He urged a collective, renewed effort to ensure Hon. Osawaru’s return to the Green Chamber to solidify the gains made in his first term.

To achieve this, Oni solicited the direct backing of three key pillars:

 1. That party stalwarts and faithful set aside differences and unite with a vanguard spirit to protect the party’s mandate at the polls.

 2. That the government continues to provide strategic backing, emphasizing that a return for Osawaru ensures a seamless bridge between state needs and federal resources.

 3. That the voters view the upcoming election as a "referendum on development," stressing that returning a ranking member to the National Assembly gives the constituency greater leverage for committee chairmanships and major projects.

According to Oni, Hon. Osawaru’s vibrancy, specifically his advocacy for the Federal Medical Centre in Ehor and his various agricultural empowerment schemes, makes him the indispensable choice for the constituency’s future noting that Uhunmwode/Orhionmwon federal constituency while a representative who has mastered the workings of the National Assembly is pushed aside.
