THE DAY ISAIAH SAW THE LORD: HOW ONE ENCOUNTER WITH GOD'S HOLINESS DESTROYED THE PRIDE OF POSITION AND REVEALED THE VANITY OF HUMAN GREATNESS

"BE BIGGER THAN YOUR POSITION. DON'T ALLOW YOUR POSITION TO BECOME BIGGER THAN YOU."

A position is a platform for service, not a measure of your worth. Titles may command respect among men, but they carry no weight before the throne of God. The higher you rise in influence, the deeper you must walk in humility. If your identity is rooted in your office rather than in Christ, the vanity attached to that office will eventually consume you.

The prophet Isaiah was bold, fearless, and uncompromising. He rebuked kings, pronounced judgment on nations, and spoke with divine authority. Yet the moment he encountered the overwhelming glory and holiness of God, every confidence in himself disappeared.

"In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up... Then said I, Woe is me! For I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips..." — Isaiah 6:1, 5

The same lips that had prophesied with power suddenly appeared unclean in the light of God's holiness. Isaiah realized that no title, no gift, no achievement, and no prophetic exploits could stand before the majesty of the Holy One. Heaven was not impressed by his ministry; heaven was filled with one declaration:

"HOLY, HOLY, HOLY IS THE LORD OF HOSTS; THE WHOLE EARTH IS FULL OF HIS GLORY." — Isaiah 6:3

This is the lesson for every believer and leader: positions do not impress God—His glory and His holiness are what matter. We are only valuable to the extent that we reflect the One we represent.

The Apostle Paul understood this when he wrote:

"BUT GOD FORBID THAT I SHOULD GLORY, SAVE IN THE CROSS OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST." — Galatians 6:14

And James reminds us:

"HUMBLE YOURSELVES IN THE SIGHT OF THE LORD, AND HE SHALL LIFT YOU UP." — James 4:10

No matter the position you occupy, never lose your reverence for God. Be bigger than your title. Be greater than your office. Let humility be greater than your influence, and let God's glory outweigh your accomplishments.

For in the end, positions will pass away, titles will fade, achievements will be forgotten—but those who carry God's glory and walk in His holiness will stand forever.

"FOR WHAT SHALL IT PROFIT A MAN, IF HE SHALL GAIN THE WHOLE WORLD, AND LOSE HIS OWN SOUL?" — Mark 8:36

May our greatest pursuit never be position, but the presence of God; never applause from men, but approval from Heaven.
