WORLD PRESS CONFERENCE COMING – The Blood of Our Martyrs Will No Longer Be Hidden

 IPOB also disclosed plans to organise a world press conference aimed at drawing international attention to alleged human rights violations against its members and supporters.

Nwaọgụ said the conference would highlight alleged disappearances, torture and killings involving Nigerian security agencies, insisting that the international community should be informed of what the group described as ongoing atrocities. 

International Lobbying Efforts

The IPOB official said the organisation was continuing diplomatic engagements in Jerusalem and Washington.

He claimed that the Biafra issue had been debated in the Israeli Knesset and that a motion seeking Kanu's release had been introduced before the United States Congress.

Nwaọgụ also dismissed Nigeria's recent appointment of an Igbo ambassador to Israel, describing it as routine diplomatic practice that would not affect IPOB's campaign for Kanu's release or its pursuit of Biafra's restoration. 

IPOB's Demands

The group reiterated its demands, including:

The immediate and unconditional release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and all prisoners of conscience.

Action against what it described as the real perpetrators of insecurity, including Fulani herders, bandits and their alleged collaborators.

Recognition of the role IPOB attributes to ESN in protecting South-East communities.

An end to what it alleged were efforts by state governments in the South-East to facilitate attacks by terrorists. 

Call for Unity

Addressing supporters, Nwaọgụ urged members not to lose hope despite the security situation.

He called for unity, discipline and peaceful advocacy, insisting that IPOB remained committed to pursuing what it described as the inalienable right of its people to self-determination.

He also announced that the weekly address would continue every week to provide updates on the group's activities and future plans. 

'Tweet Tuesday' Campaign

As part of the group's mobilisation efforts, IPOB introduced what it called "Compulsory Tweet Tuesday," urging supporters worldwide to post every Tuesday using the hashtags #FreeMaziNnamdiKanu and #FreeNnamdiKanu.

Nwaọgụ described social media as an important tool for advancing the group's message and encouraged supporters to schedule posts, retweet and amplify the campaign every week. 

Closing Remarks

Concluding the address, Nwaọgụ prayed for families of missing persons, sought divine protection for ESN operatives, and expressed hope for what he described as the eventual restoration of Biafra.

He ended the address with the declarations: "Biafra lives" and "The

struggle continues."
