Hon. Osawaru Hosts Peace, Reconciliation and Unification Meeting in His Ward, Umagbae North Ward 5, Uhunmwode LGA, Edo State.

In a significant step towards peacebuilding and genuine reconciliation, the member representing Orhionmwon/Uhunmwode Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Billy Adesuwa Osawaru, on Saturday 5th September, 2026 held a peace, reconciliation and unification meeting with leaders, ward executives and members of Umagbae North Ward 5, Uhunmwode Local Government Area which happens to be his ward.
The meeting provided an avenue for stakeholders to celebrate the restoration of peace and the reconciliation of previously divergent interests within the ward, while charting a common course towards a stronger, more cohesive and formidable political family.
Speaking one after another, Leaders and participants emphasised the importance of sustaining the newly restored peace, embracing genuine reconciliation and extending true forgiveness to each other. They called on all aggrieved parties to put past differences behind them and work collectively in the overriding interest of the party.
The Ward Chairman, Mr. Festus Amierobhiye; Apex Leader, Pa. Omoregie, and other leaders like Hon. Thomas Osazuwa, Chief Osagie Iyore, Hon. Samson Okpamen, Ward 5 Councillor, Hon. Israel Onaghise; unit leaders and other party faithful were unanimous in their call for continued peace and cooperation. They pledged to close ranks and work as one towards securing a resounding victory for all All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in the forthcoming general elections.
Addressing the gathering, Hon. Osawaru appealed to all stakeholders to leave the past behind and embrace forgiveness, oneness, synergy and harmony. He acknowledged that the progress of the party at the ward level depends on the ability of its members to unite and work towards a common objective. The federal lawmaker also sought forgiveness for any wrong he might have committed, knowingly or unknowingly, while highlighting some of his need-based interventions projects and achievements. He assured the gathering of his commitment to consolidating these gains when he returns for a second term and spoke on his forthcoming empowerment programme which will be harmonized for all to benefit. He also stressed the need for a strong and united ward to maximise its impact.
The meeting, which featured sonorous songs of gratitude and messages centred on peace, unity and progress, ended with a collective resolution to bury the hatchet, close ranks and move forward as one. Participants further pledged their support for the SHINE Agenda of His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, Governor of Edo State, and the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Ultimately, the gathering reinforced a simple but powerful message: a united party is a formidable party. With forgiveness replacing grievances, and unity taking the place of discord, Uhunmwode Umagbae North (Ward 5) has resolved to move forward together towards a stronger and more victorious political future.
