THE OBA OF BENIN.
On behalf of my family, the good people of Orhionmwon Uhunmwode Federal Constituency, and the Iwebo palace Chiefs, I wish to extend our reverence and warm felicitation to HIS ROYAL MAJESTY, OBA EWUARE II OGIDIGAN on the occasion of the dual celebration of His Majesty's Birthday and 8th Coronation Anniversary.
It has been Eight (8)Years since you ascended the throne of your forebears. Eight years of the continuous restoration of our rich cultural values, ethos, heritage, customs, and traditions. It has been a progressive reign, one which has seen the Great Benin Kingdom reclaiming its glory as the cradle of black and ancient civilization.
For Eight years, His Royal Majesty has been in the vanguard for the reinstitution of peace, unity, and progress and the eradication of obnoxious acts that tend to paint the Great Benin Kingdom in a bad light.
Through sustained advocacy for the return of the stolen Benin artifacts carted away by the Colonial Invaders, the great Benin Kingdom and the traditional institution under your watch is taking back her pride of place. As HRM marks the eighth year on the throne, may this anniversary usher in the much-needed growth and development in our blessed Land.
Similarly, as you mark the anniversary of your birth, I wish HIS ROYAL MAJESTY longevity on the throne of our Ancestors. May you continue to reign in good health and may it be marked by the realization of your lofty dreams and aspirations for the Kingdom.
I pray to God Almighty and our Ancestors to grant you increased wisdom to preside over the Kingdom.
