June 18th, 2025.
Official Statement.
Dear Friends, Party Faithfuls, and respected Constituents,
It is with heavy hearts, deep sorrow, and total submission to the will of the Almighty that we announce the passing of Mr. Christopher Emovon (Elder), who departed this life in the early hours of Tuesday, June 17, 2025 after a brief illness.
Until his passing, Elder Emovon served diligently as Senior Legislative Aide to Hon. Billy Osawaru, the Honourable Member representing Orhionmwon and Uhunmwode Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, and also as the incumbent Publicity Secretary, Uhunmwode Local Government Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC)
For the past two years, he brought total dedication, humility, wisdom, candor, and grace in the discharge of his official duties. These qualities earned him the respect and admiration of all who had the privilege of knowing him and working closely with him.
Beyond his professional duties, Elder Chris Osa Emovon was a steady presence: Calm, energetic, consistent, dependable, loyal, jovial, happy, fun to be with, and always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. He constantly exuded positive vibes even amid life's fluxes. His passing is not just a huge and painful loss to Hon. Chief Billy Adesuwa Osawaru, our legislative team, and the entire Team Billy but to his immediate and extended family, the broader Igieduma Community, the Uhunmwode APC family, the Edo social media Community, and the State at large.
At this time, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his dear family, friends, and all who mourn him. May they find comfort in the legacy of humility, passion, loyalty, and service, that he leaves behind. As we mourn his passing, let's remember to say a word of prayer for him for the peaceful and eternal repose of his gentle soul as he transitions to the other side of existence and also his beloved family.
Let us honor Elder Emovon’s memory by continuing to serve with the same dignity and integrity - principles that he exemplified.
He will be truly missed. May his soul Rest in Peace!
With sympathy and solidarity,
Ukato Thomas,
Office of Hon. Billy Osawaru
Member, House of Representatives
Orhionmwon/Uhunmwode Federal Constituency.
