 APC New Media Hails Supreme Court Verdict Upholding Okpebholo and Idahosa

as Victory for Edo People and Digital Democracy

The APC New Media Campaign Committee congratulates His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, and Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa on their well-deserved and resounding victory at the Supreme Court, which has  reaffirmed their legitimate mandate to lead Edo State.

This ruling is not just a personal vindication for the Governor and his Deputy—it is a landmark moment for democracy, the rule of law, and the collective will of Edo people. It puts to rest any lingering disputes, sealing with finality the outcome of the 2024 gubernatorial primaries.

We commend the resilience, statesmanship, and grace with which Governor Okpebholo and Rt. Hon. Idahosa have continued to pilot the affairs of Edo State since assuming office in November 2024. Despite legal distractions, their commitment to service delivery under the Renewed Hope Agenda has remained unshaken.

To the good people of Edo State, we say thank you. Your steadfast support, your votes, and your unwavering belief in the APC’s vision have once again been vindicated. You stood firm through the legal battles, and today, justice has smiled upon your decision.

As governance continues, we respectfully appeal—on behalf of members of the now-defunct APC New Media Campaign Committee and other dedicated campaign structures—that those who labored tirelessly for this cause be remembered and considered as part of the broader effort to move Edo State forward. Unity and inclusion are key as we consolidate on this victory and deliver the dividends of democracy to every doorstep.

The time for politics is over. The time for building is now. Let us all join hands to ensure Edo’s brighter future.
