BEYOND POLITICS: A TIME TO UNITE ~By Pastor (Dr.) Osagie Ize-Iyamu.

_Your Excellency,_

I wish to extend my heartfelt congratulations to you on the final affirmation of your election as the duly elected Governor of Edo State by the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

This judgment brings to a close the long and rigorous legal process following the 2024 governorship election. The apex court has spoken, and by its verdict, the mandate freely given to you by the good people of Edo State has been reaffirmed.

Your Excellency, the time has come for all of us- regardless of political affiliation- to put the election behind us, heal old wounds, and focus on the higher task of building a greater Edo State. Elections are a necessary phase in democratic life, but the true work of governance requires the support and cooperation of all stakeholders.

I therefore appeal to all citizens, particularly those in the opposition, to rally around your administration as you lead our beloved state forward. Our collective destiny cannot remain entangled in political rivalry. I urge all to rise above divisions and lend their support to your efforts to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of Edo.

As we move forward, the challenges ahead will no doubt be immense-  from restoring infrastructure and creating jobs to securing lives and property, improving education and healthcare, and rebuilding public trust in governance.   Meeting these demands will require unity, maturity, and a shared commitment to the progress of our State.

May all of us- political leaders, citizens, and institutions- now rally behind your leadership and commit ourselves to the shared vision of building a more prosperous, united, and forward-moving Edo. The time for politics is over; now is the time for purposeful governance.

Once again, I congratulate you and your Deputy on this judicial victory. I pray that your tenure will be marked by peace, progress, and inclusive development that touches every part of Edo State.
