The Industrial Training Fund (ITF) sent a delegation to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital on an official visit, with the team led by Mr. Gabriel Obada, the Coordinator of ITF's Skill-Up Artisans (SUPA) program.
The visit included a facility tour and an exploratory meeting with UBTH management to discuss potential areas of collaboration.
Their engagement focused on identifying opportunities to enhance field experience for students, improve staff competencies, and support structured training programmes across key departments.
The ITF team also reviewed UBTH’s existing training framework to determine how their technical expertise and resources could further strengthen ongoing institutional development.
This proposed partnership aligns directly with the CARES mandate and the hospital’s vision to remain a leading centre of excellence committed to Compassion, Accessibility, Responsiveness, Effectiveness, and Safety in healthcare delivery.
UBTH continues to welcome strategic collaborations that advance quality care and build a stronger, more skilled workforce for the benefit of patients and the broader health system.
