MOCKED , EXPOSED ,AND FORGOTTEN: OBASEKI'S FIGHT FOR RELEVANCE RAISES TOUGH QUESTIONS FOR EDO

The adage which says 'those who live in glass house don't throw stones", is not just literary but a veritable tool which helps to guide and regulate the outburst of those who misuse their oratory prowess to attempt to destroy others but end up destroying themselves. 

This is the case with former Edo state governor Godwin Obaseki, who has been wallowing in confussion and self-destruction, all in a bid to launder his disreputated image abroad. 

 One year after his tenure as governor, he has not been able to explain to Edo people why he absonded from the state. Prior to his handing over to senator Monday Okpebholo as governor, he suddenly appeared on social media, moving from one state to another in the united kingdom trying to justify his failure as governor in what he calls meet and greet. Having exhausted his fiticious theory on how Edo was and should be governed which he failed to do as a governor, he recently on his X handle, called on God to place punnishment on  politicians who use power or offices for personal gains.

This statement has since then exposed him to mockery as many insist he must have laid curses on himself.

Obaseki's misuse of power became evident when he  blackmailed Senator Oshiomhole and the APC for demanding to share the peoples patrimony for self aggrandisement. He later jumped the boat to PDP and got the ticket to run for a second term, where he declared himself as  the emperor of the party and the state, pushing the party aside for pesonal gains

How long will he continue to fight for relevance even when it is glaring that he failed his people in his time?  This is the real question on the lips of everyone
