Today, we address a viral video alleging that Honourable Billy Osawaru is indebted to one Sandra Aguebor, popularly known as Lady Mechanic.
Let us be clear:
The video is from 2024.
It is being deliberately recycled.
And it is entirely false.
There is:
1. No debt
2. No agreement
3. No evidence
At the time the matter first arose, the individual involved was given every opportunity to substantiate her claims. She failed to do so because there was nothing to substantiate. That remains the position today.

This is not an isolated incident. What we are witnessing is a pattern of coordinated political distraction a deliberate attempt to mislead the public and shift attention away from the real achievements of Honourable Billy Osawaru.
Credible information indicates that this campaign aligns with interests uncomfortable with the growing acceptance, visibility, and grassroots impact of Chief Billy Osawaru.
When leadership is delivering results, those without comparable records often resort to:
1. Recycled propaganda
2. Staged confrontations
3. Character assassination
Additionally, there have been persistent pressures from certain political quarters seeking influence over governance decisions pressures that do not reflect the will or interests of the people.
Let it be clearly stated:
• Honourable Billy Osawaru will not divert public resources for private or political gain.
• He will not compromise his mandate.
• He will not abandon the people for political alignment.
He remains committed to transparent, people-first leadership.

Hon. Billy Osawaru has always placed the interest of the people above all else. By contrast, certain political actors, unable to compete on tangible results, are attempting to exert undue influence for personal gain. Honourable Patrick Aisowieren, a former member of the House of Representatives (2015–2023), has reportedly sought to pressure Chief Billy to divert public resources and contracts to serve his personal interests, demanding loyalty to him instead of to the people. He is attempting to reshape local leadership to suit his ambitions, ignoring the democratic choice and welfare of the constituency.
During his tenure, Patrick Aisowieren did not sponsor a meaningful bill nor moved a single motion addressing the pressing needs of the people. In stark contrast, Hon. Billy Osawaru has delivered tangible, verifiable results: roads constructed, boreholes drilled, solar-powered streetlights installed, medical outreaches conducted, classrooms built and renovated, and skills acquisition centers established.
Furthermore, Patrick Aisowieren’s attempts to influence Chief Billy come with the expectation that he would abandon Hon. Pius Odubu, a respected leader and advocate for the people. This is a blatant attempt to undermine local political balance and interfere with the democratic representation of the constituency. Chief Billy has remained unwaveringly committed to collaborating with Pius Odubu and other community leaders, ensuring that governance and development remain people-centered.
The people of Orhionmwon/Uhunmwonde must therefore reject any attempt at imposition of candidates or political interference designed to satisfy the ambitions of a few. Leadership cannot be dictated; it must be earned through service, dedication, and proven performance.
Hon. Billy Osawaru has remained steadfast in his focus on community-oriented development, empowerment, and transparency, resisting pressures to compromise on integrity. He continues to put the people first.
Now more than ever, the people must stand behind Hon. Billy Osawaru, supporting his ongoing efforts to deliver real, tangible, and impactful development across the constituency. The choice is clear: leadership that serves the people versus leadership that seeks to serve personal ambition.
