EDHA 2027: Ovia North East Constituency II – A Humble Call to Serve

 

As Nigeria gradually approaches another important electoral season, the process of selecting credible representatives for the Edo State House of Assembly once again becomes a matter of great importance to our communities. This period presents a crucial opportunity for citizens to reflect on past leadership, examine present challenges, and carefully choose individuals who possess the vision, commitment, and capacity to effectively represent their interests.

To the respected people of Ovia North East Constituency II, the dedicated members, loyal supporters, and key stakeholders of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), this is a defining moment that requires thoughtful consideration and collective responsibility. It is time for us to assess where we are as a constituency, identify the gaps that remain in our representation, and determine who among us is best positioned to advance the progress and aspirations of our people.

After careful personal reflection and extensive consultations with respected mentors, community leaders, party stakeholders, and through deep spiritual guidance, I, *Comrade Adesuwa Blessing Arigbe*, have reached a clear and confident decision to step forward in service to our constituency. With humility and a strong sense of responsibility, I hereby present myself to the good people of Ovia North East Constituency II and the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for consideration as a candidate in the forthcoming party primaries ahead of the 2027 Edo State House of Assembly elections.

This decision is not one taken lightly. It is the result of years of engagement with our communities, observing firsthand the challenges our people face and the opportunities that exist for meaningful development. I believe strongly that this moment calls for leadership that is committed to accountability, transparency, and dedication to service—values that will guide every aspect of my representation.

Our people deserve a representative who will serve as a strong voice in the Edo State House of Assembly someone who will advocate passionately for policies, motions, and legislative actions that will improve infrastructure, strengthen social services, and promote sustainable development across our communities.

The role of a legislator goes beyond occupying a seat in the assembly. It involves listening attentively to the concerns of the people, engaging with stakeholders, and ensuring that government decisions reflect the true needs and aspirations of the constituency. If entrusted with this responsibility, I will work tirelessly to promote collaboration between the legislative arm and other levels of government to ensure that our constituency benefits from the developmental initiatives taking place at the local, state, and national levels.
