Pastor Ize-Iyamu Continues Consultations in Ovia South West
The local government consultation train of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu moved to Ovia South West Local Government Area as engagements ahead of the forthcoming primary elections gathered momentum.
Addressing party leaders and members in his characteristic style, Pastor Ize-Iyamu took stakeholders down memory lane, recalling the contributions of notable leaders from Ovia South West who have played significant roles in deepening democratic values and strengthening party structures in Edo State.
He paid glowing tribute to the Deputy Governor of the state, Dennis Idahosa, commending his developmental strides and urging continued support for his leadership. He noted that even the hall used for the meeting stood as evidence of projects attracted to the constituency through the Deputy Governor’s efforts.
Pastor Ize-Iyamu expressed appreciation to the LGA leadership for organizing what he described as an impressive gathering at very short notice. He particularly acknowledged their role in transforming the party from an opposition platform into the governing party in the state, attributing the success to dedication and grassroots commitment.
Speaking on the purpose of his visit, he stated that his consultations were centered on the forthcoming primary elections, especially the senatorial contest in which he has declared interest.
He used the opportunity to lament what he described as absentee representation currently experienced in Edo South Senatorial District. According to him, the district requires strong, visible, and effective representation at this critical time. He emphasized that the core responsibility of a senator is to take the yearnings and aspirations of the people to the floor of the Senate for deliberation and action, stressing that Edo South deserves a voice that will consistently speak and stand for its interests.
