ric Endorsement: Edo South Political Leaders, Friends and Associates Unite in Landmark Purchase of Senate Nomination Form for Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu

Political leaders of Edo South, friends and associates of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu pooled their resources to purchase his Senate Nomination and Expression of Interest forms for the 2027 Edo South senatorial race.

While presenting the form, Hon. Osahon Isaac said, having been the ones who consistently encouraged and persuaded him to enter the contest, it was only proper and logical that they shoulder the responsibility of securing the forms for his aspiration.

Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu described the presentation of his senatorial nomination and expression of interest form by leaders of Edo South as “deeply emotional” and humbling.

He expressed profound gratitude to God for His grace over his life and political journey, and thanked the eminent leaders and friends across Edo South who collectively purchased the APC Senate nomination form

According to him, the decision to contest was not his alone, as many of the same leaders had encouraged and persuaded him to run. He said he was overwhelmed by their resolve to not only purchase the form but also pledge continued support for his aspiration.

Pastor Ize-Iyamu dismissed recent reports alleging that he had withdrawn from the race, describing the circulated letter as forged and criminal. He stated emphatically that he has not withdrawn and will not withdraw from the contest.

He assured the people of Edo South that the era of ineffective representation would come to an end, promising purposeful and impactful representation in the Senate.

He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the Renewed Hope Agenda, citing federal interventions in critical sectors, including healthcare support for indigent cancer patients at all Federal Teaching Hospitals. He also appreciated the Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, for ongoing infrastructural development across the state.

He stated that his mission in the Senate would be to complement both the President and the Governor by strengthening the link between Edo South and the Federal Government, and by attracting greater federal presence to the district.

Pastor Ize-Iyamu appealed for unity within the party and urged all aspirants to avoid campaigns of bitterness. He also highlighted the longstanding absence of Orhionmwon Local Government in the Senate for over six decades, calling for equity and fairness within Edo South.

He concluded by thanking the leaders for the honour done to him and expressed confidence that, by God’s grace, the journey would culminate in victory.

In attendance at the ceremony were prominent party leaders drawn from the seven local governments that constitute Edo South Senatorial District. Among them were: Rt. Hon. Samson Osagie, PhD, former Minority Whip of the House of Representatives and former Attorney General of Edo State; Chief Mabel Adams, former State Women Leader; Chief Gentleman Amegor, pioneer State Secretary of the ACN; Hon. Patrick Osayimwen, former Member of the Edo State House of Assembly; Rt. Hon. Bright Osayande, former Deputy Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly; Hon. Engr. Osahon Isaac, former Member of the House of Representatives; Hon. Barr. Hope Iyare, former Vice Chairman of Uhunmwode Local Government Council; and Prof. Ovenseri Aibueku, pioneer Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development and leader from Ovia North East Local Government Area, among other distinguished stakeholders.
