Hon. Osawaru Receives APC Certificate of Return As The Party Flagbearer for 2027 House of Representatives Race.

The member representing the good people of Orhionmwon/Uhunmwode Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Chief Dr Billy Adesuwa Famous Osawaru has officially received his Certificate of Return as the duly nominated candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 House of Representatives election.
The certificate was presented by the Edo State APC Working Committee, led by the State Chairman, Emperor Jarret Tenebe, during a formal ceremony held at the party’s state secretariat in Benin City. The exercise, conducted in line with established party guidelines and electoral procedures, also witnessed the presentation of Certificates of Return to other successful House of Representatives candidates who emerged from the APC primary elections held on Saturday, May 16th, 2026, an exercise widely described as peaceful, transparent, and hitch-free.
The event, marked by cheers, widespread goodwill, and hearty felicitations from party faithful and stakeholders, further reflected the unity, internal cohesion, and democratic culture within the APC. It also reinforced the party’s commitment to due process, collective interest, and party supremacy.
Speaking with journalists shortly after receiving the certificate, Hon. Osawaru expressed gratitude to God and our revered ancestors for what he described as a well-deserved collective victory. He equally appreciated the leadership of the party at all levels, from the national hierarchy to the ward structure, for ensuring a credible and rancour-free process.
He specially commended the Executive Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, for providing purposeful leadership that fostered peace, stability, and unity throughout the primary election process.
Hon. Osawaru dedicated the victory to party leaders, loyal supporters, and stakeholders across Orhionmwon/Uhunmwode Federal Constituency, while also acknowledging with heartfelt appreciation, the maturity and sacrifices of his co-contestants who embraced the supremacy of the party in the collective interest of progress and continuity.
“This victory belongs to all of us. The first phase is now over, and it is time for us to close ranks, strengthen our synergy, and work collectively towards the general elections. Our goal is to secure overwhelming victories for the APC across board, and together, we shall achieve it. We must also remember that 2.5 million votes are at stake for the Edo APC family to deliver for our amiable President, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR. A promise made must be kept,” Hon. Osawaru stated.
