Penchant for personal gain :Is Lucky Imasuen for Edo South or Against Edo People?

 

Following the recent telephone conversation captured on social media where Mr. Lucky Imasuen's voice recording went viral discussing his disdain for the Edo South preferred aspirant, and pushing for the Abuja imposed aspirant for the Edo South Senatorial ticket speaks more of his intention to discredit the struggle for a united Edo South. 

His action including a planned visit to the Oba of Benin with the sponsored aspirant, are seen by many well-meaning Edo South people as divisive and self-serving ahead of the final declaration of the Edo South Senatorial District primary election winner.

Mr. Lucky Imasuen, no doubt, is obviously working against the interests of the Edo South people by supporting an Abuja-imposed candidate and attempting to divide the kingdom for political gain. 

While his actions may be interpreted differently by various observers, the overarching sentiment among many Edo South indigenes is one of disappointment and concern. 

They view his alignment with external forces as a betrayal of the region's interests, particularly at a time when unity and solidarity are deemed crucial for progress and development of the Edo South Senatorial District and her People.

The implications of Imasuen's actions extend beyond mere political maneuvering; they touch upon the very fabric of Edo South's identity and cohesion. 

By allegedly prioritizing personal gain and external influence over the collective aspirations of the Edo people, he risks eroding trust and fostering division within the Edo South Senatorial District.

As the political landscape continues to evolve, it remains to be seen whether Mr. Lucky Imasuen will heed the concerns of his constituents and realign his actions with the best interests of Edo South. 

Mr. Lucky Imasuen actions to hoodwink and drag the revered Benin Monarch into partisan politics ahead of the announcement of the popular aspirant by the All Progressives Congress National Working Committee (NWC) will spell doom for the good people if he fails to heed the call of the Edo people.

Only time will tell if he will prioritize the unity and progress of his people above personal ambition and external pressures.
