Dr. Mike EIGBEMEKHE is well known to me. We grew up together and were classmates in same primary school of Ewoiki-Uzea in Esan North East LGA. Thus our relationship has spanned through decades of years.
He has a very humble upbringing and was lucky to have a disciplined and religious parents from whom he learnt the core values of selflessness, humility, masses-welfare oriented and empathy; which are all indispensable to a fulfilled life .
He grew up with an ingrained ideology that one's real value in life , is not in the abundance of his wealth but inextricably connected to the impact one creates in other people's lives .
*The enormity of God's grace on him , can best be appreciated when you know the challenges and tough terrain of Ewoiki-Uzea through which he meandered his way to success*.
*PHILANTHROPY*:
He believes that you don't give to others because you have excess. He sees giving as self-sacrificing which is an ineluctable quality of Christ. Whoever can not share his half-a-loaf of bread with others, even if such a person is in charge of a full bakery, he will still not give. Dr Mike EIGBEMEKHE through his foundation has impacted very positively on his people :
1. Sponsorship and organization of Free Medical Health Outreaches.
2. Distribution of free academic materials and scholarships to students in various levels of education.
3. Free Ophthalmological eye examination and treatment.
4. Free distribution of prescribed and recommended eyes lenses for patients.
5. Distribution of palliatives
6. Distribution of clothes and stomach infrastructure .
7. Shouldering of counterpart funding for community development .
8. Distribution of insecticide treated mosquitoes nets to various communities, nursing mothers and pregnant women.
9. Ceding his building to be used for the housing of the less privileged, the orphans, the homeless, the widows or those in need within his community.
*POLITICAL STRUGGLES*:
Though not a career politician; but because of his passion for development, Dr. Mike EIGBEMEKHE had ventured into politics in an attempt to emancipate his people and recreate the developmental history of Uzea kingdom and Esan North East generally.
Though well received by the masses and his people , he was soon to discovered that one's place of origin was a major limiting factor in politics, rather than merit or party loyalty. He also discovered that development ,party loyalty and competence was not necessarily the motivating factor for most political kingmakers .
*Having advocated for equal opportunities, political emancipation and infrastructure development for every Wards in Esan North East LGA, in different fora and media , Dr. Mike Eigbemekhe can best be described as*
1. A Social Crusader for the less privileged, the masses and the right of existence of the minority.
2. An Advocate for political emancipation and rural development.
3. An Egalitarianist for social equality and lack of discrimination.
4. An apostle of peace, hope and empathy.
5. A Protagonist of political equity fairness and justice.
6. The Proponent of being "Your Brother's keeper" encapsulated in political inclusivity, mutual and peaceful coexistence and equal opportunity for all.
Without doubt Dr. Mike Eigbemekhe does not applaud political kleptomaniacs who enrich themselves at the detriment of the infrastructural developments of the masses. He chooses to speak for the masses even when others prefer to keep mute in order to get personal benefits.
Dr. Mike EIGBEMEKHE, unarguably , has sown a seed of a New Spirit of Courage, Resilience and Patriotism into Uzea young men and women and the spirit of Oneness , Mutual and peaceful coexistence and Political inclusivity into the minds of the youth of ESAN NORTH EAST LGA, in general.
*EDUCATION*:
Dr. Mike EIGBEMEKHE believes in knowledge and education.
He has spent about thirty three (33) years of his life in acquiring education and various degrees, cutting across diverse fields of both Sciences and Arts, Health and Law and with several publications.
He has earned such degrees across diverse fields that he can be addressed as a PHARMACIST, a DOCTOR or a BARRISTER. Each title EARNED and NOT GIVEN. Having earned a Ph.D degree in law(now a double doctor ), is a testament of his ingrained ingenuity. He is a multidisciplinary and multifaceted professional, business executive , public manager and administrator, an ambassador of the Universal Peace Federation and a philanthropist.
*PROFESSIONAL BODIES*:
He has also acquired avalanche of administrative experience and knowledge on the management of both human and material resources through membership of different professionals bodies, institutes and Associations within and outside the nation. Some of which are the following :
