GOV. SEN. MONDAY OKPEBHOLO HAS REVIVED SEVERAL MORIBUND AGENCIES IN EDO STATE AND THEY NOW PERFORM OPTIMALLY. ONE OF SUCH IS THE EDO STATE SMALL TOWN AND RURAL WATER SUPPLY AND SANITATION AGENCY (STRUWASSA)

Since the inauguration of His Excellency Sen. Monday Okpebholo as the Governor of Edo State, there has been a remarkable transformation in the state. One of the areas that have witnessed significant improvement is the provision of clean water to rural communities through the Edo State Small Town and Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (STRUWASSA).

Under the leadership of Governor Okpebholo, STRUWASSA has been revived and made to function optimally. This agency is responsible for providing clean water and sanitation facilities to rural communities in Edo State. With the support of the state government, STRUWASSA has been able to execute numerous projects in the 192 wards of the state, bringing clean water to the doorsteps of the people.

The impact of these projects cannot be overemphasized. For years, many rural communities in Edo State have been struggling with access to clean water. Women and children had to walk long distances to fetch water from streams and ponds, which were often contaminated and unsafe for consumption. This not only posed a health risk but also hindered the development of these communities.

However, with the intervention of STRUWASSA, the story has changed. The agency has constructed boreholes, hand pumps, and water treatment plants in various communities, providing them with a sustainable source of clean water. This has not only improved the health and well-being of the people but also boosted economic activities in these communities.

Furthermore, STRUWASSA has also embarked on the construction of sanitation facilities such as public toilets and waste management systems in rural areas. This has helped to improve hygiene and reduce the spread of diseases in these communities.

The impact of STRUWASSA's projects can be seen and felt in every corner of Edo State. The once neglected and marginalized rural communities are now thriving, thanks to the provision of clean water and sanitation facilities. This is a clear demonstration of practical governance in action, as promised by Governor Okpebholo during his campaign.

The success of STRUWASSA is a testament to the commitment of the Okpebholo administration to the development of all parts of Edo State. The agency has not only provided clean water to rural communities but has also created employment opportunities for the people through the construction and maintenance of these projects.

In conclusion, the revival of STRUWASSA and the provision of clean water to rural communities in Edo State is a clear indication that a new Edo has indeed risen. The state is shining under the leadership of Governor Okpebholo, and the people can now confidently say that they have a government that cares for their well-being. This is just one of the many achievements of the Okpebholo administration, and we can only expect more progress and development in the years to come.
