OVIA NORTH EAST LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL CHAIRMAN, HON. OROBOSA CHRISTOPHER ERIAMIANTOE, RECEIVES WARM WELCOME AS HE PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO ELDERS AND RESIDENTS OF OKADA COMMUNITY.
It was a warm homecoming in Okada as the host community of the Ovia North-East Local Government Headquarters welcomed the Executive Chairman, Hon. Orobosa Christopher Eriamiantoe, on his courtesy visit to the elders and residents of the community since assuming office.
The visiting team led by the Chairman, was warmly received by the Odionwere of Okada community, Pa Samson Idehen with the Council of Elders and members of the community signalling a strong community spirit and goodwill towards the new administration.
The meeting also brought together prominent traditional leaders, community stakeholders, chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and political leaders.
The Chairman was accompanied by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Joseph Egharevba and the Councillor representing Okada West ward, Hon. Endurance Osawe. The APC delegation was led by the Ward Chairman, Mr. Alfred Okeda, alongside other party leaders who joined the community in receiving the Chairman and his entourage.
Speaking during the engagement, Hon. Orobosa Christopher Eriamiantoe described traditional leaders as critical partners in grassroots governance and community development, emphasizing the need for sustained cooperation in addressing issues affecting the people. He called for stronger collaboration in the areas of community security, conflict resolution, and peaceful coexistence.
The Odionwere and Council of Elders of Okada appreciated the Chairman for the visit and welcomed his administration’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with traditional institutions.
They expressed their readiness to support the Local Government Council in promoting peace, security, unity and sustainable community development, while pledging continued cooperation with the administration of Hon. Orobosa Christopher Eriamiantoe in its efforts to deliver responsive and people-oriented governance across Ovia North East Local Government Area.
