Uhunmwode Youth Wing Backs Osawaru’s Re-election Bid, Vows to Drive Grassroots Campaign.

 

The Uhunmwode Youth Wing, a political support group with members across the ten wards of Uhunmwode Local Government Area, has thrown its weight behind the re-election bid of the Honourable Member representing Orhionmwon/Uhunmwode Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Chief Dr. Billy Adesuwa Osawaru, pledging to work for the success of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming general elections.

The group stated this at a meeting held in Eyaen, Uhunmwode, on Sunday, September 13, 2026, where its leadership and members commended Hon. Osawaru for his performance in office and his efforts towards restoring peace and cohesion within the APC.

The youth leaders said they would deploy their ward structures and community networks to canvass voters, engage constituents and advance the party’s message across Uhunmwode, stressing that a united political family would be better positioned to secure favourable outcomes at the polls.

They also described Hon. Osawaru’s return to the National Assembly as essential for sustaining effective representation and giving the constituency a stronger voice in legislative and developmental matters.

Responding, Hon. Chief Dr. Billy Adesuwa Osawaru expressed appreciation for the meeting and their support. He highlighted some of his interventions in youth empowerment, while reaffirming his determination to continue championing programmes that create opportunities for young people.

He described the coming election as a “must-win” for the APC, charging the youths to take the message of the party to every community, consolidate their presence at the grassroots and ensure that their respective polling units and wards deliver strong results, while maintaining peace and camaraderie throughout the electoral process.
