The Real Essence of Politics and Leadership: Connecting with the People, Not Showcasing on TV

Senator Monday Okpebholo is deeply engaged in the core essence of politics in his desire to lead the people. He is connecting directly with the people, feeling their pulse, and engaging with them. He’s not wasting time with seemingly compromised journalists but focusing on what truly matters—canvassing votes from the state level down to the local government, ward, and unit levels. Elections are not won on TV; they are won at the polling units where the real voters are.

The people in our villages, often without reliable access to electricity, are deprived of access to Television signals due to the bad governance that Sen. Monday Okpebholo seeks to correct. 

The concerns of the people are immediate, basic, and local. They need a leader who speaks directly to them in a language they understand. Senator Okpebholo is doing just that—meeting the people where they are and addressing their needs.

On the other hand, Asue and his supporters are trying to deceive the electorate with eloquent speeches, much like Governor Obaseki did. Despite all the Queen English Obaseki spoke, the only thing the Edo people got was a series of MOUs—nothing more. No actual investors came through their English to invest in the state, even though Asue was the head of the governor's economic team.

The choice is clear: direct engagement with the people or empty rhetoric on TV. Senator Okpebholo is committed to the former, ensuring that every voter’s voice is heard and their needs are met.
